Don't take us for granted Maori warn politicians
Summary
Labour and the Greens parties are predicted to govern in 2014. The Maori and Mana parties are the minority, but they are still present and are not giving up. They may come together once they get over their "imploding and tribal fighting." Prime Minister John Key doesn't believe a coalition between the two is likely because Mana leader Hone Harawira is not reliable. Even First leader Winston Peters doesn't believe the new party will survive.
My Thoughts/Emotions/Observations
I believe that the Maori and Mana probably will not be governing New Zealand in 2014. However, I do think that these two groups should have a say in their government. They were the original people in New Zealand and should be able to express their opinions in the government that is now ruling over their land.
Article's Relation to Politics
States around the globe have various different types of governments. In a Parliamentary Democracy, however, New Zealanders are able to have some say in who they want to govern their state. Just as the United States gives special treatment to the Native Americans, New Zealand should at least allow their tribal groups to have a larger role in their government system.
