Morocco braces for protests as unrest moves west
Summary
A mass of peaceful protests is planned all across Morocco as what youth groups call "The February 20 Movement." The information is being spread by social media just as Tunisians and Egyptians had done in their revolutions.Even though a few members backed out of the protests and urged to shut them down, the protests were still scheduled to be conducted. The groups are willing to put aside their political and ideological differences to instigate change in their political system, and they are not stopping until their demands are met.
My Thoughts/Emotions/Observations
I am glad that the youth groups are fighting for what they believe in. The government should at least consider the various demands of the protesters before they try to shut down the whole movement. The people of Morocco deserve a say in their government also.
Article's Relation to Politics
The youth groups have organized a whole movement that shows how much they dislike their country;s policies and they did this to show what they wanted o be done about it. The government never knows everything that their people want so protests are a good way to understand what they want and either give it to them and make them happy or stop their protests and cause hatred and/or more protests in the country,
